Youth Peer Support Overview (30-40 minutes w/ Q+A) - offers insight into the importance of peer support programs for teens and provides an overview of NAMI-NYC’s programs for youth & families.
Youth-Skill Building Workshop (45-60 minutes) - Interactive workshops led by “near-peers” (18–24-year-olds) that will destigmatize conversations about emotions and build skills in empathy & understanding. We have workshops for general youth groups or specific audiences such as athletes, writers, advocates, etc. Collaborate with Youth Peer Support staff to choose the mental health lesson and/or creative activity that would be the best fit for your class, club, or group.
Panelist/Speaker - Bring a youth voice and perspective to your next event.
Tabling - We can join school lunches, after school programs, and other community events to share information about our youth & family services. If you are a school or youth-serving organization, please let us know if any of your teens would like to table with us!
NOTE: A minimum of 3-4 weeks’ notice prior to each event is needed. Participation is based on our availability.
